The wedding will take place at 12pm, Saturday May 26, 2007 at the Mission San Diego De
Alcala Catholic church located at 10818 San Diego Mission Road, San Diego, CA 92108.

Why do we do this? The Bible tells us to ask for help in prayer. In Psalm 103, we pray,
"Bless the Lord, O you his angels, you mighty ones who do his word, hearkening to the
voice of his word! Bless the Lord, all his hosts, his ministers that do his will!" (Ps.
And in Psalm 148 we pray, "Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord from the heavens, praise him
in the heights! Praise him, all his angels, praise him, all his host!" (Ps. 148:1-2).  We
honor God by remembering the role of Mary in the beginning of salvation.  She is the one
whom had said "yes" allowing Our Lord to take human form and with that comes a
special reverence within the church.  She is, of course, not divine. We worship only Jesus
Christ, but we honor Mary as a special saint whom we believe was especially close to
The wedding will take place in the month of May, which happens to be the month of
Mary in the Catholic Church.  As quoted from a Pope Paul IV Encyclical -The month of
May is the "month which the piety of the faithful has especially dedicated to Our Blessed
Lady," and it is the occasion for a "moving tribute of faith and love which Catholics in
every part of the world [pay] to the Queen of Heaven. During this month Christians, both
in church and in the privacy of the home, offer up to Mary from their hearts an especially
fervent and loving homage of prayer and veneration. In this month, too, the benefits of
God's mercy come down to us from her throne in greater abundance".  The color we have
chosen for the wedding ceremony is blue (reflected in the colors of the bridesmaids
dresses & grooms mens vests.) The color of the flowers are to honor Mary and St
Therese of Lisieux.
